What you need to get started

To get started I recommend renting an instrument either locally from Palmer’s Violin Shop in Rogers or online at Shar Music. Shar offers multiple tiers of rent to own options starting as low as $9.99 a month.

Both Shar and Palmer’s offer packages that include the violin, bow, case, rosin and shoulder rest. I do require students to use a Kun style shoulder rest. I provide lesson books for the student.

Please be wary of instruments on Facebook Marketplace or local pawn shops or other music stores aside from Palmer. An instrument not from Shar or Palmer’s must be approved.
